Silbo is one of the leading food distributors in Serbia, recognized for its stable growth, a bread portfolio of renowned brands, and a strong commitment to both partners and consumers.
Over the past three decades, we have built a modern distribution system, a high-capacity logistics center, and a network that serves thousands of points of sale across the country every day.
Our team of experts, dedicated to quality, and a clear development vision have positioned Silbo as a company that sets industry standards and serves as a reliable partner to all those we work with.
An important step toward improving the sustainability and efficiency of our logistics system has been achieved with the commissioning of a new storage facility that uses CO₂ as a refrigerant instead of freon. This innovation not only contributes to environmental protection but also significantly improves the energy efficiency of our operations.
The total value of the project amounts to EUR 6 million, and it was implemented with the support of UNDP Serbia, which co-financed the central refrigeration unit with USD 200,000, making an important contribution to the modernization and sustainable development of our business.
This new technology has enabled further development of frozen distribution, improving service quality and ensuring greater safety in the delivery of temperature-sensitive products.
In parallel with the introduction of the cold storage facility, investments were made to expand warehouse capacity by 8,000 pallet positions, as well as to acquire 35 new specialized vehicles for the distribution of frozen goods across Serbia.
These investments further straighten our ability to respond to growing market demands and reinforce our position as a reliable partner.
On this occasion, we organized an offical visit to Silbo including our distribution center and the new cold storage facility – in cooperation with UNDP Serbia.
We had the honor of hosting Sara Pavkov, Minister of Environmental Protection; Plamena Halacheva, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European union to the Republic of Serbia; Jakup Berish, UNDP Resident Representative in Serbia, as well as representative of Sweden.
With this project, Silbo reaffirms its long-term commitment to innovation, partnerships and sustainable development, laying a strong foundation for future success ahead.
